WHY TSGC?

 

 

The Texas Society of Genetic Counselors was formed to provide an approved and recognized affiliation that works toward complete representation of genetic counseling profession in the State of Texas.  It serves as a networking system which ties genetic counselors with diverse job responsibilities together.  It provides a platform for shared information and fosters positive and constructive discourse in important matters affecting the profession.  It presents a “collective voice” for the genetic counseling profession in Texas. This interaction creates positive attitudes toward the profession and this positive awareness carries over to meet the needs of consumers of genetic counseling services and their families.

 

We are excited to announce as of December 2007, the Texas Society of Genetic Counselors was approved by the NSGC as a State Chapter.  By adopting TSGC as a state chapter, our national organization is recognizing that our mutual purposes and objective are complementary and consistent.
